Westphal's Oak Creek Power Plant call hits $60/hr with $1,050 per week subsistence for travelers over 70 miles and a 5% quarterly bonus; that's a 5-10 grind, but the money talks.

LU-430 Racine, WI is tighter but sweeter. Eleven calls, 76 hands on book, and Microsoft Mount Pleasant is pulling 53 JWs across four contractors (Gerdes, Pieper, Staff, Kelso Burnett) all at $62.51/hr. Long sleeves and safety-t mandatory; start dates already hit (late June/late month). Reciprocal JWs welcome.

LU-354 Salt Lake City, UT has 26 calls stacked with $46.22/hr work across four contractors. QTS Eagle Mountain (Winward), Facebook Eagle Mountain (Cache Valley), and Nucor's 12-hour day shifts starting September 13th all hit the same rate, plus Nucor running continuous OT. Five-day weeks with Saturday availability on some calls.

LU-613 Atlanta, GA remains the steady volume play: 55 calls, 354 hands needed, Inglett & Stubbs and Whitehead moving 80+ JWs on QTS data center work at $42/hr across 4-10's and 2-8's (Saturdays operational). Shop work available through Miller Electrical too.

LU-1547 Anchorage, AK sits strange: 54 calls, only 66 hands on book means Book 1 is nearly clear. Work ranges telecom-to-inside to tree trimming; Alcan Electric's inside JW call runs $57.44/hr with Certificate of Fitness required. Alaska pay is real, but the board's thin.

LU-26 Washington, DC shows 60 calls against 461 hands—massive overage—but data center build-out is pulling talent harder than the board depth suggests; JE Richards and Freestate competing for same Ashburn/Sterling infrastructure work.

Data centers are still the gravitational center; Milwaukee and Salt Lake are the cleanest paths right now.

LU-71 Columbus, OH is a churn machine right now — 46 calls, 140 hands needed. NEW RIVER ELECT. CORP. is running two separate distro pushes: 40 JL's on 10-hour days (nights stayed plus $125 bonus daily, PD $125) and 9 more JL's on 4-10s with optional weekend stretches. Both need CDL. This is volume work, not premium pay, but steady if you can stack hours.

LU-84 Newnan, GA is tighter — 32 calls, 105 hands — but SERVICE ELECTRIC is stacking work. The Social Circle energize job for GA Power runs $46.8 and $56.8 depending on the call (barehand cert required on the higher one). Statewide substation tech work at $44.46. PD runs $100–$150/day. Grid and barehand experience moving the needle here.

LU-66 Houston, TX shows 23 calls across NHPL and Front Line. No posted scale on the board, but transmission work to Floresville gets $175 PD and Class A CDL required. That's a pull if you're chasing out-of-area per diem in Texas heat.

LU-1249 Cicero, NY has 31 calls with solid depth. O'Connell's Barker job runs $125/day PD, JL's need CDL A and current certs. J W Didado in Ithaca goes $150/day PD. Upstate distro and transmission, moderate pay but steady contractor work.

LU-1393 Indianapolis, IN is lean at 32 calls, 50 hands, but the money shows: MJ Electric's Winamac transmission 345kv circuit pays $67.18 with $105/day PD. ARC American's 12.5k rebuild in Wanatah sits at $64.66. Transmission certifications and experience are the gate.

LU-70 Forestville, MD is small — 9 calls, 15 hands — but Didado's Old Field, WV transmission work (climb required) hits $126/hr with $150 PD. High-value specialty climbing is concentrated on tighter boards.

Data center and transmission work is absorbing the hands right now. Specialty certs — barehand, climb, 345kv termination — are the wage drivers across the board.

Trampin the UA Locals — Saturday, September 5, 2026

LU-290 Portland, OR is the board to watch this week—23 calls spread across Intel's Ronler Acres fab in Hillsboro. Apollo Mechanical's hunting CAD/BIM detailers (Ticket #71649) alongside Charter's fitter and orbital welder slots on the same tool-install phase. This is semiconductor fab work: high-purity systems, precision tooling, real craft. Book depth is tight at ~47 hands against 23 openings. If you run CAD or have orbital experience, this board moves fast.

LU-140 Salt Lake City, UT sits at 18 calls with 61 hands—still favorable ratio. BCS Mechanical dominates the Sego Project in West Valley (15 pipefitter journeys, 13 plumber journeys, 5 apprentice slots) on 4-10s starting Aug 3 with OT. DSI's Eagle Mountain QTS data center is running 5-8s plus rotating 5-10s and Saturdays ($10.00). Salt Lake's got industrial scale work and commercial data-center builds running parallel—solid depth.

LU-213 St John, NB shows 10 calls, ~110 hands chasing them—softer ratio but real tonnage. Stuart Olson and Irving Oil Refinery shutdown work (54 journeyman pipefitter slots, 10 apprentice) is the spine here, day-shift under NMA Agreement. B&W's fab shop adds 12 more. This is refinery turnaround work—reliable, organized, steady schedule.

LU-325 Fredericton, NB sits thin at 5 calls but concentrated: Irving Oil shutdown at Lorneville (40 + 33 journeyman calls working 6-10s) is a shutdown sprint. Travel and PD included. Book depth is 89 hands—these jobs will fill.

LU-208 Denver, CO has 12 calls for 56 hands. Kiewit's project work ($65 PD, industrial scale, 5/9s + Saturday 8) and Apollo's DC2 data center in Aurora (commercial rate + incentive) keep the board solid. US Eng. Metalworks shop work fills benches.

Refinery shutdowns and semiconductor fabs are pulling hands—seasonal turnarounds and fab expansion are the market's two engines right now.
